How basic? Today we learned the alphabet, so very, very, very basic I'd say. Thing is, I need two extracurriculars to graduate, and med school doesn't give you a lot of free time to pursue courses you're actually interested in, let alone study for them, so you gotta go with whatever class you can sleep through (not a lot of time for that either) and still not fail, and for me that's level 1 English. This is going to be one long ass semester. Alcoholism, here I come!

That must be painful. I thought my beginner level AutoCAD course was easy after 5 years experience, but a beginner level English? I think I'd shoot myself.

There are a few other students in the same situation, but the professor doesn't like it very much. There are three different professors in this course, and one of them doesn't mind that people use it to complete their extracurriculars before the cutoff date, letting students skip classes as long as they can pass the exams. The other two, however are offended by that notion and will require everyone to participate in class. We're assigned at random, and I probably don't have to say I didn't get the cool teacher...

Lame. It's just a stupid situation all around because I'm sure neither you nor the professor enjoys it. At least you're getting that stuff done though.

Im an engineering major and took italian design as an elective because it fit my schedule. no tests, quizzes, exams, or homework. Final paper (min 5 pages) was to write about an italian brand. Wrote mine on Ferrari 6 hours before it was due. Aced it. Easiest class ever. If you have a facebook group for your class (eg XYZ University Class of 2016) id suggest asking around on there for easy classes, assuming you havent passed the drop/add deadline.
